什麼是Thumb.db檔?
Windows 產生一個檔案給一個含有照片的資料夾, 這個Thumbs.db檔 存取一個極小的資料夾照片版本,使其當資料夾被打開的時候, 可以快速的用小的影像去觀看.
這個Thumbs.db檔常被見到當你把Windows隱藏檔案設定為顯示的時候. 如過你要開啟這個設定, 首先打開一個檔案然後從Tools選單中選擇"Folder Options"

點選 "View"在資料夾選項 並且把 "Show hidden files and folders"勾選, 如下圖.

點下 "Apply" 在windows的右下角然後對這個資料夾apply這個改變點下"Apply to All Folders" 去顯示所有的資料夾, 然後選"OK" 去關掉這個window.
如何去移除Thumbs.db檔
你可以透過放到垃圾桶簡單的移除Thumbs.db檔, 不過,這個檔會重新產生當你每次開個資料夾時, 這代表殺掉這個檔案有點影響, 要避免Thumbs.db檔被產生, 步驟如下:
- 開一個資料夾 (或者指定某個你想改變的資料夾).
- 選擇"Folder Options" 從View選單.
- 點下View tab.
- 點選"Do not cache thumbnails"選項(如下圖).
- 點選 "OK" 去apply這個改變與關掉window (或者點選"Appy to All Folders" 去更新到所有的資料夾).

如果你改變心意想要回到原來的設定,你可以透過選擇Windows中的 "Reset All Folders"選項回到 default settings
Note: Windows資料夾選項 可以被控制台存取，但是控制台選項將會影響整個系統
